Viewability
The extent to which an advertisement was actually in a position where it could be seen.
Definition
The extent to which an advertisement was actually in a position where it could be seen.
Why it matters
Viewability is the metric that separates "the ad was served" from "the ad had a chance to be seen" — it is the foundation everything in this category is checked against.
Key consideration
MRC standard: 50% of pixels in view for 1 continuous second (display) or 2 continuous seconds (video).
