Steps
- 01
Pick your starting point before you build a blueprint
Do this
New advertiser, brand campaign, no suitable historical campaign: build fresh. An existing reach or video-view campaign with credible performance history: audit it, don't redesign a winner without evidence. A proven campaign that needs to launch in a new market: clone and adapt it.
- 1a
New campaign: generate the blueprint
AI prompt You are designing a complete TikTok Reach & Video Views campaign. Using only the approved materials provided, generate: a campaign blueprint, campaign structure, audience framework, frequency framework, creative sequencing framework, video framework, placement framework, and measurement framework. State whether a reservation-based Reach & Frequency buying type or standard auction-based delivery better fits the stated objective and budget certainty needs. Use only information supplied. Do not invent audiences, offers, claims, promotions or budgets. Finish with READY TO BUILD or NOT READY.
Do this
Reach & Frequency is a distinct, reservation-based buying type, not just a setting inside a normal campaign, it locks in audience, schedule, impression volume and a frequency cap or target frequency in advance, in exchange for more predictable delivery than the standard auction. Reserve inventory as early as possible if this is the right fit, it typically produces a lower CPM and more reach for the same budget than a late reservation.
- 1b
Existing winning campaign: audit it, don't just redesign it
AI prompt Review the attached TikTok Reach or Video Views campaign and the supplied performance evidence. First identify what appears to be working, what should remain unchanged, and what is not supported by sufficient evidence. Then identify: scaling opportunities, audience expansion opportunities, creative fatigue risks, frequency risks, reach expansion opportunities, and view-rate opportunities. Use only: KEEP, TEST, EXPAND, REMOVE, HUMAN REVIEW, NOT EVIDENCED. Do not redesign a successful structure without evidence. Do not invent performance results. Do not approve the campaign. Finish with STRUCTURE CAN BE REUSED or STRUCTURE REQUIRES REVISION.
- 1c
Cloning into a new market: adapt, don't rebuild
AI prompt Use the attached high-performing TikTok Reach or Video Views campaign as the source blueprint. Preserve: campaign structure, audience framework, video framework, and measurement framework. Review whether changes are required for: market, language, product differences, audience availability, local restrictions, cultural considerations, and creative availability. Classify every recommendation as: KEEP, LOCALISE, REMOVE, ADD, HUMAN REVIEW, NOT EVIDENCED. Do not redesign the campaign unless the supplied local-market evidence requires it. Do not approve the campaign. Finish with READY TO CREATE LOCAL BLUEPRINT or LOCAL EVIDENCE REQUIRED.
- 02
Build measurement and delivery framework
AI prompt Review my proposed TikTok campaign settings against the attached blueprint. Validate: campaign objective, reach objective, video view objective, frequency controls (frequency cap versus target frequency, if using Reach & Frequency), delivery settings, and measurement framework. Use only: MATCH, MISMATCH, MISSING, NOT EVIDENCED. Do not infer missing settings. Do not approve setup.
Do this
If using Reach & Frequency, use TikTok's own Campaign Forecaster tool before committing budget, it lets you compare different reach/frequency scenarios against the same budget before you reserve anything.
- 03
Build campaign and audience structure
AI prompt Review this TikTok campaign and audience structure against the attached blueprint. Review: campaigns, ad groups, broad audiences, interest audiences, lookalikes, customer lists, video-view audiences, and audience exclusions. Use only: MATCH, MISMATCH, MISSING, CONFLICT. Do not infer missing information. Do not invent audience sizes. Do not approve setup.
- 04
Build video and creative assets
AI prompt Review these TikTok video and creative assets against the approved guidelines. Check: videos, UGC creatives, creator assets, primary text, descriptions and CTAs for hook strength, watch-time potential, storytelling, native feel, creative sequencing, unsupported claims, and missing assets. Use only: PASS, EDIT, REMOVE, HUMAN REVIEW, NOT EVIDENCED. Do not invent offers, claims or promotions. Do not assume policy approval. Do not approve the campaign.
Do this
If boosting existing organic content as a Spark Ad, confirm creator authorisation has actually been generated first, the creator turns on Ad Authorization from the post's own settings menu and generates a code for the advertiser, this can't be done from the advertiser's side alone. Caption text can be left blank for Reach, Video View and Reach & Frequency objectives specifically, but not for Traffic or App Install objectives, don't flag a blank caption as an error without checking which objective is actually in use.
- 05
Reconcile the build against the blueprint
AI prompt Compare the approved blueprint against the completed campaign build. For every setting, provide: SETTING, APPROVED VALUE, ACTUAL VALUE, STATUS, EVIDENCE, REQUIRED ACTION. Use only: MATCH, MISMATCH, MISSING, NOT EVIDENCED, NOT APPLICABLE. Do not infer missing settings. Do not modify the campaign. Do not approve launch.
- 06
Final launch readiness review
AI prompt Review the final TikTok campaign evidence pack. Verify: audience readiness, reach readiness, frequency readiness, video readiness, creative coverage, and policy status. Use only: PASS, BLOCKER, HIGH RISK, NOT EVIDENCED, CONDITION ACCEPTED. Missing evidence is not a pass. Do not approve launch. Do not recommend optimisation actions.
Do this
Have a second person check the campaign before it goes live.
